Pauline McWilliams’ Lady Captain’s day arrived with a deep sign of relief that the weather was fine and dry – phew! We’re off!
There was a great turn out for the competitions both ladies and indeed the gentlemen for their competition later in the day.
Everyone had a great day – even if their golf wasn’t what they had hoped. A great welcome from Lady Captain, followed by some golf and mid-round refreshments and all topped off by a good meal and some mighty craic as well as fabulous prizes! Of course, being Lady Captain’s Day there was lots of dancing to the talented duo Vamp.
In the evening, Lady Captain made a memorable speech before prize presentation – in verse! Her welcome and thanks to all were heartfelt and entertaining- reflective of her captaincy!
Winner of the Captain’s Day Trophy was Sarah Lath.
Front nine prize winner Heather Duggan
Men’s 3rd place winner was David Kirk.
