For the third year Rockmount members took part in a Play in Pink Day in aid of Breast Cancer Research. The event was held in mid August and it again proved to be an enormous success, I am delighted that everyone embraced the cause and the theme and raised over £1,200!
For the ladies it was played over two days alongside the Price Charity Rose bowl which was won by Noreen O’Hare. The men’s competition was won by Mark Barrington.
Pink outfits were bought or dusted off and the rosy hue certainly livened up the course and the clubhouse!
In addition to Play In Pink prizes for the best scores, there were couple of other notable winners:
Prize for the ‘best (pinkest) dressed man’ went to Colin Childs. He must have been the most photographed person on the day!
And the ‘best dressed lady’ prize went to Heather Mills. Well done both!
Pink Hamper raffle was very well supported and was won by Paul Duggan, there was also a second prize hamper this year won by Tish Gilmore.
