This year the ladies enjoyed a great weekend away organised by our Captain, Alwyn Higham. The break was to Knightsbrook Hotel & golf Club in Trim, County Meath where over thirty members enjoyed two days of golf, dining and entertainment. And it was a fabulous weekend. The weather was a delightful surprise for late April – even if we weren’t all equipped for it, having become so used to rain and wind! The golf course was in good order and the food and drink were great and the craic was mighty, as ever! Not too sure how many ladies burned the midnight oil, but I am sure that everyone had a ball.
On Saturday morning, some ladies upped the ante by taking part in Trim Park Run on before taking to the golf course. Well done ladies! Some great golf was enjoyed on the two days of play and Rosie McCrea was the winner of the top prize, the Christine Martin trophy, for her combined score over the two days. She also collected a lovely prize from our Captain, Alwyn.
There was a team prize on each day for combined score and individual prizes for both days. Thanks also to our Competition Secretary, Jan and Assistant Comp Secretary, Judith for their hard work over the two days to sort out all the time sheets and scores.
Most of all many thanks to our Captain for all her hard work in making this an absolutely super weekend.

Of course, before the prize-giving dinner there were two days of great golf fun
But sometimes not quite so much fun – but memorable anyway
Anyway with good company and some post-match analysis all can be debated and sorted over drinks before/after dinner
The Captain’s pre-dinner drinks reception in glorious sunshine was a huge success
And we even had some birthdays to celebrate. Congratulations Frances and Diane
